  Kippford View is deliberately small and cleanly laid out. Everything on park is close to hand, and the village of Kippford, with its pub, shops and the tidal causeway to Rough Island, is a short walk from the gate. From the park, a short walk takes you into Kippford village. A short drive south opens up Rockcliffe, Sandyhills and miles of Solway coastline. Dalbeattie Forest is the other way, with 7stanes trails and forest walks within easy reach.
